Hello, and welcome to my blog. I'm 30, and as you may have guessed from my blog's title, I'm working in Italy. Genova to be precise. I've been here since June 2008 and don't know when I'm going back to Scotland, if ever. I went to America a couple of years ago and wrote a lot of waffle. 21 again

Hey everybody

This day a mere 27 years ago, I was born. Oh, happy day! I can feel deaths cold embrace reaching for me as I type.

So, today is my birthday. And very sunny, which is nice. And I'm not hungover, which is novel.

Today will be short and sweet, you'll be relieved to hear, largely because I don't think I have a lot of new information or stories to regale you with. In some good news, I have a job in summer in Edinburgh, the same one as I did last year, which is very good. I'm quite looking forward to being back and seeing your grimacing, pale faces again, and also to showing Katarina round the hood, as she'll also be working with me, unless something bad happens between now and then. I'll make an effort to avoid this.

The biggest reason I decided to post today was to show you this amazing poster that I saw a couple of weeks ago. There was a regional election here last week, and so everyman and his dog stuck their posters up to chase some votes. I saw this poster one day outside of school, but then didn't see it again for days. I'd started to worry that I'd imagined it, and to be honest, the day I start day-dreaming about seeing pennises in the street is a worrying and confusing day! Unfortunately, some other oik with an unentertaining name stuck their poster a bit over this one, so you can't see all of the exclamation mark that Mr Pennis felt would add gravitas to his name. But no matter. Now I know that with some people here, socialists have a bad name, but this is really extracting the urine!

That's all for me, told you it was short. I'll let you decide on its sweetness.

Ciao!
